BP-8hi : 8.4 volt 1400mAh rechargeable replacement Ni-Cd insert for ICOM BP-8 & CM-8 battery packs. Goes inside battery casing. Your original BP-8/CM-8 battery needs to be unscrewed, opened, the old battery insert removed, and this new insert installed (Several solder connections are necessary). New 4×3 offset design fits in All versions of BP-8 and CM-8 casings (original Icom OEM and all aftermarket models). Insert includes built-on thermal protector (for safe fast-charging) and short-circuit protector. These are assembled in the USA by us.
