The QPM1205 is made in the USA and can be used same as the PS1205

The old Interacter PS series charger utilized 3 Stage Plus technology to interact with the battery and provide exactly the right amount of charge. The Three Stage charging technology eliminates undercharging, overcharging, or damage to the battery, and is completely safe. The internal “battery type Swithd – DIP switch” can be set for Gel-Cell, (AGM) Absorbed Electrolyte, or Liquid Electrolyte battery types.

Microprocessor circuitry with a patented program in EPROM, controls four separate charging stages:
FIRST Stage is a constant current bulk charge is applied to achieve the fastest possible return of energy to the battery.
SECOND Stage has constant voltage stage that is proportionally timed and temperature compensated, minimizing electrolyte breakdown and gas emission.
THIRD and final stage has standby float charge stage that will replace standing losses and keep the battery in a fully state of charge and ready for use.
PLUS – when the battery is first connected, a desulfation circuit stimulates the breakdown of large sulfate crystals that can develop during prolonged periods of deep discharge on Lead acid batteries.

This charger is recommended for 12 volt battery systems in the 18 to 80 amp hour range. This charger can be used for both bulk charging and long term stand-by maintenance.
